Northcote Plaza Shopping Centre is a sub regional shopping centre located in Northcote, in the inner northern suburbs of Melbourne, the state capital of Victoria. It was built on the site of the former kilns of the Northcote Brickworks Ltd (1882-1977) and opened in 19811. The Plaza has two Coles Supermarkets as well as over 64 specialty stores. The centre also houses a Liquorland, OPSM, Baker’s Delight, Sussan and many more. You can also find fresh fruit and vegetables, meat, seafood and poultry, as well as hairdressers, nail salons and massage parlours.
The Plaza is conveniently located next to High Street, which makes for easy access via tram from Northcote Train Station or from stop 34 on tram route #86. Most residents in Northcote do their grocery shopping here. The Plaza also has ample parking for more than 900 cars. The Plaza has expanded to include Acacia Apartments – a housing complex that features 94 apartments with access to the plaza. The Plaza also hosts special events and news throughout the year, such as Christmas activities and giveaways. The Plaza’s trading hours are: Mon – Wed 9:00am – 5:30pm; Thursday 9:00am – 7:00pm; Friday 9:00am – 8:00pm; Saturday 9:00am – 5:00pm; Sunday 10:00am – 5:00pm. The Plaza is closed on Christmas Day.

Recently moved to this area. Northcote plaza is literally walking distance from my place. I am so disgusted with this plaza. It looks like it’s 1000 years old so ugly. It seriously needs a face lift. Almost every 2nd shop is closed. And to top it off I don’t even feel safe to work to coles when it’s dark. Looks like I will be going to IGA or the coles in Preston. Very disappointed!
