I bought red apples from Spuds and Plums a couple of weeks ago. Imagine my surprise, when I got home, to see that my four apples cost me $2.99 each. I tried to contact Spuds and Plums by phone for several days to tell them of their mistake. Alas, to no avail. Today, I visited Garden City again and went back to Spuds and Plums and showed the assistant my docket. To my dismay, the assistant advised that I had been charged correctly; the particular red apples I picked up were $2.99 each! I was absolutely disgusted. Since when do we buy apples "each" in our stores? Who would realise that the apples were $2.99 each and not per kilo, as is the norm in our stores. i have shopped here several times before. Suffice to say I will not be returning to Spuds and Plums again after my recent poor experience.
