It has since grown into a bustling three-day event, renowned for its carnival atmosphere and colourful stallholders. It is one of the most successful and well-known markets in Australia and abroad. Rusty’s Market is owned by Gilligan’s Backpacker Hotel & Resort, who took over the market in 2006. They have faithfully continued Rusty’s vision and have invested in improving the market’s facilities and services. Rusty’s Market has about 180 stalls, offering a wide range of products, such as fresh produce, flowers, plants, bread, cheese, coffee, seafood, meat, poultry, health foods, arts and crafts, clothing, jewellery and souvenirs. Rusty’s Market has a variety of dining options, from cafes and juice bars to ethnic cuisines and street food. There are eateries on the market itself, as well as in the surrounding area.
