Uptown Brisbane is a nine-floor shopping complex located between the Queen Street Mall and Elizabeth Street in Brisbane, Queensland, Australia. It was formerly known as The Myer Centre Brisbane, as it used to house Queensland’s largest Myer department store, which closed in 2023. The centre was renamed Uptown Brisbane after Myer’s departure. The centre opened in 1988 and has over 180 stores, including major retailers such as Target, Coles Central, Event Cinemas, Lincraft and Best & Less. It also has a variety of specialty stores, offering products and services such as fashion, jewellery, beauty, books, gifts and more.
Uptown Brisbane has a diverse range of dining options for visitors, with two food courts and several restaurants and cafes. You can find cuisines from around the world, such as Italian, Turkish, Japanese, Thai, Indian and more. You can also enjoy a drink at the licensed bar or the coffee lounge. Uptown Brisbane is open seven days a week, with the following opening hours: Monday to Thursday: 9 am to 5:30 pm, Friday: 9 am to 9 pm, Saturday: 9 am to 5 pm, Sunday: 10 am to 5 pm. It was built on the site of the former Brisbane Arcade, which was demolished in 1986. Uptown Brisbane has plenty of parking space for visitors, with over 1450 bays available. It is also easily accessible by public transport, with the Queen Street bus station located on level A of the centre. You can catch buses from various suburbs and destinations to get to the centre.
